Third Plum

After the group of 3 grapes, I painted the third and final plum with its shadow.

  1. This looks so delicious, I keep coming back to it. Could you describe how and with what paint did you use? Thanks much. Barb

  2. Thanks, Barb, for your kind words about my work.

This was painted directly, for the most part: patch against patch of the colors I saw.

For the melon: new gamboge, cadmium orange, cobalt violet and a little antwerp blue.

For the plum: cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, permanent rose, cobalt violet, antwerp blue and a touch of cadmium orange.
