New pen, new periscope broadcast, fun day in the studio

I had a fun day, sketching live on periscope.tv/michelecooperart while opening a package containing my new Seaglass pen. Fun chatting with you all, too.
The finished watercolor sketch. Thank you to my students for the lovely handmade sketchbook.

Tiny Spring Flowers

I wanted to sketch these sweet little grape hyacinths before they finished blooming. It was just too cold to stay outside, so I picked a few and drew them at the sink in the studio where I washed them off.

Come to think of it, the squirrels in the tree nearby were shaking their heads and "tsk tsking" as I provided a bad example about digging up bulbs. No wonder they ravaged my crocus with impunity!
