Anyone for Croquet?

Jerlyn sketching at Gretchen's Kitchen Shop
These would have fit in nicely at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party
I wanted to add text to the teapot sketch and color to my line drawing of Jerlyn. Didn't have time until now. This brought back memories of a very fun day in Mt. Vernon with the Anacortes Sketchers.

  1. What fun and colorful sketches! Liz would be proud of all those teacups. ;-) Is the text on the teacup page only on your blog image? Or did you actually print the text on your sketchbook page??

    1. Thanks, Tina. High praise indeed, invoking Liz's name! At this time, the text is only on my blog image. Sometimes I try it out this way to see how it would work. Since this is part of my 2015 Sketchbook Project, I will probably add it to the page.

  2. I love the sketch of the person in the shop and how she is in the middle of the display...great color too. Wonderful pots!!! I love sketches of teapots but my only one is so boring. It would be great to be in a shop like that.

    1. Thank you, Joan. Jerlyn always wears the chicest clothes. She wasn't aware of me sketching her, nor was she aware of how the display would match her so perfectly that day.

The shop was a collaboration between Gretchen and Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet. The demo kitchen is stunning and looks a lot like the set on his old show.
