New Fall Watercolor Classes, 2022

How has your summer painting experience been this year? Are you ready to take your watercolor skills to the next level? Get your creative energy going with an appointment to paint with Michele Cooper at Kirkland Arts Center.

The Skylight Room promises to resound with welcoming expressions and extra creative energy on Friday mornings this Fall. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, with *health protocols in place, we will meet in person for 8 weeks of stimulating watercolor classes. We can’t wait to see you!

*COVID Protocols: Masks are currently required in the Peter Kirk Building for all individuals over age 5. Please only enter the building while healthy; click here for a detailed health screening. What fun! With all the drenching rain and stormy weather we've had recently, there had to be a class on wet streets and another on people and their umbrellas. Everyone worked continually on their ATC format, making 3 1/2x 2 1/2" cards. Just look what the Wednesday students produced in class!

Outdoor Workshop August 2, 3, 4

En Plein Air is a French expression for \"in open air\". You will be taught to travel light in my upcoming outdoor watercolor workshop on Camano Island. It's one of the Pacific NW unspoiled treasures and one of my favorite places to paint. The tidal estuary here at Iverson Point is just one example of this. Come paint with me. Whether you are a seasoned plein air painter or trying it out for the first time, let me share some of my tried and true ways of simplifying the outdoor landscape with you.
