Windy Day at Kalama Beach
12.24.16 It was a very windy day at Kalama Beach on O'ahu with the family. We had a view of the "Mokes", two islands off Lanikai Point. The windsurfers and kiteboarders were having a great time while swimmers and body surfers watched from the choppy surf closer to shore.

A Relaxing Day at the Beach
We spent a wonderful day at the beach. Our son and his family built a beach "snowman", complete with a yellow pepper schnozzola. It has been tropical-style rainy lately, so today was a welcome respite.

Too windy for the beach
![]() |

There was too much sand blowing around on the windy beach this afternoon, so Leila and I chose a picnic table in the grassy part of the park for our sketching session. Quite a few people came over the dunes with their beach towels flapping like flags, wrapped around their sand blasted heads and torsos.
Leila's hair streamed behind her as she took a break to chase a few doves across the lawn.
